Dana Finch and Roy Goodman: Land

Roy’s paintings are of landscapes to be found in Cornwall and Kent. They are mainly winter scenes,  visited at a quiet time of year, when few people venture out. Colours are muted and cool, with a distinct absence of hot greens. By way of contrast, Dana’s works emerge from memories of travels distant in both time and place. Desert landscapes, and Spanish gardens feature strongly, and her palette is predominantly earth tones and muted pinks and ochres. The gardens of Cornwall are also an inspiration, providing sub tropical inspiration through the years when travel was difficult.
