You're invited to the next Social Cinema experience from 99p Films where they'll be showcasing the filmed theatrical performance piece ‘Can I Live’. This is a collaboration event with Complicite who for 40 years have been at the forefront of pioneering theatre, making art of exceptional quality and ambition.
Join them for an enchanting evening and connect with your local community through the power of cinema, in their participatory style of:
Breathe-Watch-Discuss-Eat
Where: Princess Pavilion, Falmouth
Date: Sunday, 26th November
Time: 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM
5pm-7:30pm - The evening will kick off with a short mindful breathing exercise connecting the room and settling our minds, followed by the filmed theatre piece ‘Can I Live’ performed by Fehinti Balogun. After the film, there will be a safe space for a social discussion, sharing and hearing alternative thoughts and perspectives from your friends, neighbours or strangers. This will be slightly different to how this is usually done
7:30pm - 9pm - Then conversations to the dinner table where a communal vegan feast will be served using locally sourced produce from Cornish farms. This is the first direct action of the evening by eating part of the solution! The feast will be accompanied with live music creating a magical atmosphere.
