Dir. Richard David | 2024 | 121 mins plus Q&A | English
The film delves into the impact of music in combating Fascism and racism, featuring renowned figures such as original members of Steel Pulse, Aswad, The Sex Pistols, and more.
Shot over two years in England, Belfast, and New York, it explores the 'Rock Against Racism' movement, highlights a 1950s organization promoting interracial friendship, and showcases punk rock's role in bridging divides in 1970s Belfast.
Beyond historical perspectives, the film addresses contemporary issues such as the rightward political shift, the weaponization of Black grammatical history, right-wing musical cultural appropriation, and the role of anti-racism social media groups in today's political landscape.
