Introduction To Linocut

An introduction to Linocut Printmaking course, familiarises participants with the nature of relief printmaking and the tools and materials used.

We play with the tools, learning technique through “doing”, followed by a little tuition, then move on to designing a ‘carvable’ block, transferring the image to Lino and going about creating a simple (one colour) linocut (normally A5 or A6). 

All participants will then have the opportunity to print proofs of their block, both by hand and by table-top press.

For ages 14s and up.
