This year the Gravel Road Trust are taking their annual fundraiser to Falmouth Poly. Doors Open:7.00pm
Performers will include from, ‘ BBC’s The One Show’ TV presenter Carrie Grant. Joining her will be husband and veteran soul singer, David Grant, who diehard fans will remember from Linx and his duets with Jaki Graham. He is perhaps better known today
as
a TV presenter on ‘Songs Of Praise’ and BBC Gospel Choir Of The Year.
Also appearing, from the other side of the Tamar are, The Nelson Bros. most noted for having collaborated with Downton Abbey actress and Patron of the charity Elizabeth McGovern on her Sadie & The Hotheads albums. The Nelson Bros. bring their own special
style
of roots and Americana music to the mix.
Then traveling all the way from Derby are folk group The Open Road, who once again like all the acts, are donating their time, talents and miles travelled for free.
Finally- we have the Falmouth Community Gospel Choir led by the powerhouse that is Ley Adewole.
As ever the evening will be hosted by founder of the charity Nick Battle who may even sing a couple of songs from his last album, ‘Big Heart’.
The
Gravel Road Trust exists to help those dealing with long term care, illness and
loss.
