'Surveyed' presents an archive of aerial photographs, spanning 50 years, that were rescued from landfill after being discarded. Focusing on St Austell and the surrounding area, the earliest photographs date from 1948. These photographs are presented alongside portraits of young people who live in the areas covered by the aerial survey, and accompanied by an original musical score.
The earlier part of the aerial survey was made by the Air Survey Company Ltd of 24 Burton Street, Mayfair, London W1. Later photographs were made by Hunting Surveys of Boreham Wood, Hertfordshire. The archive is loaned by Mr S Kibble.
Callum Stephens: original music composition, specially commissioned and informed by a selection of the images.
Will Teakle: portraits of young residents of St Austell and surrounding areas.

Surveyed: Tuesday 29th June to Saturday 10th July, open 10am–5pm, Tuesday to Saturday.
Social distancing measures remain in place – please wear a face covering (unless you are exempt) and sanitise your hands on arrival.
