To complement The Future of Work event on the evening of Tuesday 2 July, The Future Of … (TFO) team are staging a small, simple, and hopefully elegant exhibition in the Spring Gallery, which will be open to the public until 6 July.
Each exhibit will consist of an archival, contemporary or "imagined" photographic image set alongside a short, related piece of poetry or prose, like the pages of a book hanging on the walls.
The words and images have been provided by members of the public, the exhibition team and a guest AI contributor. All the exhibits will focus on working life in Falmouth and its surroundings. We hope these exhibits will capture, in words and images, some of the people of our community at work, the places where they work and the feelings we all have about work in a thoughtful way. Through text that responds to historical images or contemporary photographs of historic sites, we want to convey these feelings and ideas about working life in the past as well as the present. And, ambitiously, we want to explore the possible futures of work through imaginative text and manipulated images of working life 20 or 30 years from now.
Tuesday 2nd July to Saturday 6th July, 10am to 5pm
Free Entry. Everyone welcome!
