Uncover the forgotten story of Richard ‘Doctor Dick’ Pascoe, a quack doctor who inspired both love and hatred across Victorian Cornwall. Settle in for a gripping narrative of grubby secrets and unruly mobs that'll guide you into some of the darker corners of Cornwall's past. At the end you'll be asked the question: 'Was this man an angel or a dev-il?' There are reasons to believe both and neither.
Your host, Will Hazell, is an award-winning pirate-hatted storyteller known best for walking the running local walking tours at Falmouth Uncovered. Over his years of researching and telling Falmouth’s sto-ries, he’s become adept at finding the perfect spot between upbeat entertainment and meaningful education.
(please advise: story includes brief discussion of abortions in a historical context)
