Daffodils, Crocuses and Hyacinths – why not come out of hibernation with this vibrant workshop celebrating the arrival of Spring in Cornwall. Try your hand or improve your skills in oil painting with artist and experienced tutor Lisa Waldron.
A selection of fresh Spring flowers will be available to choose from in the gallery space and Lisa will take you through the process of capturing them in oils – from constructing the composition in an underpainting, to adding the final finishing touches. The course will include a detailed explanation of colour mixing and advice on how to achieve bright floral colours and mix natural and vibrant greens.
It is recommended participants have some painting experience in other mediums but beginners to oil painting are welcome as Lisa will take you through all you need to know.
All materials, paints and tools will be provided. We recommend bringing a sketchbook or notebook and pencil for note taking. There will be refreshments provided in the 15 minute tea break and an hour’s break for lunch. You are welcome to bring a packed lunch or visit one of the many lovely cafes in the local area.
