Tom Adams Plus Support

Tom Adams is a critically acclaimed musical artist living and working in Cornwall, England.

Defined both by his distinctive atmospheric approach to production and unique falsetto vocals, he has established an unusual reputation for realising music across a diverse range of musical styles.  With his recorded output ranging from melancholic piano-ambient works to synth driven electronic beats he explores a the full spectrum of emotions from intimate vocal performances through to euphoric and apocalyptic walls of distortion.

Regardless of style, Tom’s music always has the enduring emotional quality of being as expansive as it is elegantly peculiar.

Tom got his break in music quite by chance when he attended a concert by Nils Frahm in 2015. During the concert members of the audience were invited to come onstage and perform, Tom volunteered and proceeded to captivate the audience with a version of his song ‘Time’. That one moment changed many things, and soon afterward Tom moved to Berlin, where he spent the following 5 years living and working alongside some of the best musicians of the day. In 2020 Tom relocated to Cornwall in England where he divides his time between making music and surfing.

So far Tom has released 6 full length albums as well as a number of Ep’s, remixes and singles. His music has received international airplay on Radio and TV in Europe, Asia, Australia and America. Bob Boilen (NPR) included Toms 2017 Album  ‘Silence’ in his top 10 records of 2017, describing it as ‘poignant, atmospheric music that seems to slow time… If you’re looking for a quiet record for these harrowing times, this is it.’

Tom has performed solo concerts in Asia and Europe, both headlining and performing alongside artists such as ‘Perfume Genius’, ‘Hauschka’, ‘Nils Frahm’ and ‘A Winged Victory For The Sullen’. He has also performed a Tiny Desk (home) Concert for NPR in America.

Tom has always recorded and produced his own music, in addition to his solo output he has also collaborated with many other artists, composers and film makers. He has also been invited created official remixes for artist such as Max Richer, Chris Liebing and had reworks released by a number of labels including Deutsche Grammophone, Mute Records, PIAS and Mercury records.

Among other things, Tom’s music has been featured in various Films, TV shows and commercials. He has also recorded and composed the soundtrack for the Universal Pictures feature film ‘The Knife That Killed Me’.
