Get ready to dive into the mesmerising world of surf and sea poetry! Join us for a performance filled with captivating words, rhythmic beats, and the spirit of the ocean.
This all-women poetry collective brought you Morvoren: the poetry of sea swimming in 2022.
They are back with Mordardh, which is Cornish for breaking wave. Their new project is supported by Arts Council England and involved talking to surfers across Cornwall - why surf? is the ultimate question they were seeking to answer. Whether you're a seasoned surfer, sea swimmer or simply someone who appreciates the power of language, this event is for you. Come and let the talented poets transport you to the waves, where adrenaline meets tranquility, and where surf culture intertwines with the beauty of nature.
Led by Ella Walsworth-Bell, who in 2022 co-created Morvoren, the poetry of sea swimming. Ella lives, breathes and writes sea poetry- for this project, she has collaborated with surfers, poets in Cornwall and Alice Bray, marine photographer (Photo credit for image used).
