FBF Jonathon Porritt: The Climate Crisis – Love Anger and Betrayal

As co-founder of Forum for the Future, former Director of Friends of the Earth, and chair of the UK Sustainable Development Commission under Tony Blair and Gordon Brown, Jonathon Porritt has spent decades at the heart of green politics, often ahead of his time. Whether challenging governments, advising business, or galvanising grassroots campaigns, Porritt has remained one of the most influential and principled voices in the climate movement.

In his latest book The Climate Crisis: Love, Anger & Betrayal, he turns his attention to a new generation of campaigners risking prison in the fight for climate justice. These young campaigners may choose never to have children of their own, yet they feel a profound connection with future generations - one that drives them to act when so many remain silent. It’s a powerful, timely and emotionally charged book that reframes the urgent moral questions raised by climate breakdown and civil disobedience.

In an emotive and timely event, Porritt will be talking to Eden Project founder Tim Smit, bringing together two of the UK’s most passionate environmental thinkers.
