Sword Fighting Workshop - Pirates

Every wanted to try Sword Fighting? Now you can! June seems to be our Pirate month so why not come fight like a pirate!

Come along and test your mettle in this 1hr Sword Fighting Taster workshops. 

We will cover the basics of footwork, parries and attacks leaving you ready to swashbuckler your way into the week! 

Great for fans of Pirates of the Caribbean, Game of Thrones or books like Lord of the Rings, Fourth Wing or A Court of Thorns and Roses. 

Run by Swashbuckling Cornwall (SC) these are short, high-energy workshops giving you an introduction to the world of swordplay. 

SC specialise in Stage/Screen Combat is the sort of fighting you see on stage and screen and is a way of creating dramatic scenes of conflict without anyone getting hurt, though choregraphed movements. Its origins are ancient, but the ‘modern’ version comes from the Elizabethan era. 

Suitable for 16+ No previous experience required, but to get the most from the session some experience is suggested. Under 18s will need someone over 18 with them. 

Advanced bookings only. 

This is a physical workshop as such a basic level of fitness and mobility is required to take part.

Cost: £10

A £1 Poly Fund payment is added to each ticket sold. A 50p booking fee is also applied per ticket for online and telephone transactions.
