CFF: Only What We Carry + Q&A

Dir. Jamie Adams | 2026 | 93 mins | English

Shot on the Normandy coast in just six days with a largely improvised screenplay, ONLY WHAT WE CARRY has the immediacy of people genuinely discovering one another in the moment.

Famed dancer, Charlotte Levant returns home to Deauville with her sister Josephine, where a reunion with her former choreographer, Julian Johns reopens old wounds. As friends, lovers and unexpected visitors gather around them, long-buried truths and new romances begin to surface, forcing the group to confront what they have carried from their past and what they are finally ready to leave behind.

Writer-director Jamie Adams creates an intimate, spontaneous ensemble drama from an extraordinary cast including Sofia Boutella, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Simon Pegg, Lizzy McAlpine and Quentin Tarantino. The film received its world premiere at the 2026 Tribeca Festival.
