Surfing, dementia, climate change, first loves - if it falls under earth, womanhood, romance or death, this night of poetry with Hannah Temme will have it!
Relatable and eloquent, searching but humorous, let Hannah dance you through an evening of her original poetry and spoken word. Her work navigates the beautiful but dysfunctional world we live in, exploring social issues; femininity and the natural world; heartache; youth and aging; and more. Join us for a night of wonder and words, followed by a Q&A about the creative process of writing and performance.
Based in Newquay, over the past few years Hannah has been involved in performance poetry across the southwest, participating in poetry films, cross-art collaborations, publications, festivals including, supporting Hollie McNish and working with Apples&Snakes. This is the first complete solo show of her collections so far.
“Hannah Temme’s Mud Blood Love is a delightful gem. Hannah brings a searching soul, steady poise, & twinkle in her eye. It is an accomplished debut, a satisfying hour & a rarity in that it leaves you wanting more.”
“In Hannah’s poetry I am reminded of what matters in life and what doesn’t. With touches of melancholy, it is affirming and hopeful.”
