A couple of marine biologists: life at the frontline of exploring and protecting our ocean.
Cornwall-based marine biologists Dr Daniel Moore and Emily Cunningham MBE are partners in science, conservation and life. In this illustrated talk, they will share tales from their decades of marine biological expeditions - from exploring uncharted waters in Antarctica to deploying low-cost underwater monitoring systems here in Cornwall (and a lot more in between!). Both are Fellows of the Royal Geographical Society, the first in their families to go to university and proudly working class.
Tiny Gatherings presents The Modern Explorer Series, a new programme celebrating exploration, adventure, conservation, storytelling and the enduring human connection with the natural world.
Wild Voices each month brings together the spirit of modern exploration through stories, images and ideas from those who venture beyond the ordinary. Future events will feature explorers, adventurers, authors, photographers, filmmakers, conservationists, naturalists and expedition leaders whose work inspires curiosity, resilience and a deeper understanding of our planet.
