Old Cornwall On Old Film

Flickering colour film of a beach at St Ives on the day war on Germany was declared.

Dramatic home movie of a dangerous rescue at sea in a storm on the North Cornwall coast.

Scenes of 1920s nudity on a beach in Newquay and people at work in Cornwall’s industries in the 30s.

These are just some of the images filmed by home movie enthusiasts that film maker, David Parker, has collected and woven into programmes for television over the years.

David will be showing these and many other movies and talk about the way some of these films capture a county and a way of life now long gone.
