Handbuilding
is one of the oldest forms of pottery. This four-week course will introduce you
to a variety of techniques such as making decorative pinch bowls, slab boxes,
and small coiled vessels, all while being in encouraged to experiment with
traditional decorative methods such as coloured slips and brush on glazes.
Stage 1 – This course introduces you to the
world of handbuilding with earthenware clay. Designed as an introductory
course, this workshop is perfect for people completely new to ceramics or
those looking for an informative refresher.
