Handbuilding Taster: Mugs

Ever wanted to try your hand at pottery? Join our two-hour taster session and create your very own handmade mug!*

Perfect for complete beginners, hobbyists, or those with a little more experience, these hands-on taster sessions will introduce you to the wonderful world of clay, explore hand building techniques, and have you decorating with coloured slips.

At the end of the session, you will be given a day and time to collect your work which will have been both bisque and glaze fired. 

*Don’t want a mug? Come and make a bowl instead!

When: Wednesdays in August 2pm - 4pm (see dates below)

Where: The Poly Pottery (at the back of The Poly, accessed from New Street)

Class size: Eight per class

Tutor: Mawgan Dudding / Karl Owen

Cost: £27

A £1 Poly Fund payment is added to each ticket sold. A 50p booking fee is also applied per ticket for online and telephone transactions.

Directions to The Poly Pottery
The Pottery is at the back of The Poly on New Street. Keeping The Poly building on your right, walk down the sloping path past the 'stage door' sign. The door to the pottery is on the corner of the building you're passing on your left as you walk down the path.
