BEN BAKER: DRAWING IN WIRE

Ben is back with some of his favourite subjects. Boats, birds, bones and beyond...

Ben takes his single line drawings off the page and makes them in wire. The drawings now have a new dimension, cast shadows and come alive. Some of his pieces are automata and you are actively encourage to turn handles and engage with them.

He uses his wire drawings to ornament found objects. Often from his career as a boatbuilder, sail cloth and pieces of boat.
